Romantic French Fabrics - Champagne Neutrals

This is the fourth in my series of posts about fabulous fabrics for French style interiors. In this post elegant, sophisticated neutral shades are depicted, with the palest ivory, richest clotted cream through to divine taupe; in decadent silks, lavish embroidery and softly textured linens.

Just a note: I have compiled these fabric combinations working from images online so please forgive me if in reality they don't work as well together! Most shops are happy to provide swatches.

Also I do hope that my Italian friends will not be offended by my featuring the Hotel Borgo Santo Pietro in a post about French style. The hotel is so divine I just had to include it!

You are doing such a great job creating these beautiful posts !! I get a good sense of color, texture and furniture but also a lot of inspiration to create this style for myself. Very interesting to look at these collages, they generate a lot of ideas.Chateau de la Verrerie is so so beautiful. Great floor tiles and mix of furnitures.

Have a nice weekend,

The Chateau de la Verrerie looks so tempting- lush, authentic! And I wouldn't mind dining in the room of the last photo either!

You find the best fabrics also. We use embroidered fabrics for some of our custom event linens.

Oh Glenda these images look like heaven on earth, imagine dipping your toes in that first bath.

Plus the fabrics and colours you have chosen have given me wonderful inspiration for my sitting room.

The trouble is everything you post is SO ultra tempting. I could imagine a little light supper in the last photo. Oh I am yearning.

Oh Glenda dearest....I am here drooling with joy as I scroll down to see MY FAVORITE STYLE....of course, I blend in French Flea Market style (what we here in America would consider all the linens, distressed gray painted furniture, burlap) COMBINED with all the elegance of crystal chandeliers. I must have about 4 chandies in my home and that gives me the feeling of living in castle. So pleased to meet you and THANK YOU for your kind words. Your profile and experience is quite impressive!!!! I hope to see you in Blogland!!! Anita
